XAT Exam Preparation

XAT is just like any other entrance exam, and it is tough to crack. A major exam such as this one can cause anxiety and stress among the students. However, there are many ways in which one can tackle the XAT 2021 exam pressure. Read below to find out tips on how to prepare for XAT 2021:

  1. Start preparing in advance:
Experts have noted that the difficulty level for XAT has decreased in the past few years. However, this does not mean that you should take XAT 2021 preparation lightly. One must seriously start preparing at least six months in advance to score an outstanding percentile. Also, preparing in advance will avoid stress, anxiety, and pressure that comes from last-minute preparation.
  1. Refer to guide books:
There are many XAT reference and guide books available both in online stores and offline markets. Guide books contain questions most frequently repeated and informative notes that help the students understand the topics better. Buy second-hand reference books as they are cheaper and eco-friendly. Candidates can also refer to last year’s question paper if available.
  2. Mock test-
This is an excellent way of getting familiar with the question paper pattern and testing your speed. Attempt as many move tests as possible to get used to the exam. It will also enhance the candidate’s overall answering speed- so that during the exam, they can manage their time competently. Mock tests aid the appearing candidates to understand how the marking scheme works. Thus, this can help them get a better percentile.
  3. Make a study schedule:
Studies have shown that a well-planned study schedule can boost students’ productivity. By making a study schedule, candidates can manage their time better and focus on giving extra time to study complex topics. It will also keep students organized to help them optimally prepare for the forthcoming exam and lessen the exam burden.
  4. Syllabus:
Before studying additional topics, aspirants must thoroughly study the official syllabus set by the XLRI. Crossing the concepts from the syllabus as the candidate studies them one by one will help them keep track of their studying process. Also, candidates can find the official syllabus uploaded on the XAT 2021 exam website.
  5. Marking scheme and question paper pattern:
Both play a vital role in the assessment and evaluation criterion. The marking scheme explains how each question is graded and accounted for. This helps students understand which part of the question paper they should focus on, which questions to answer and which questions to leave. Question paper pattern explains the division of sections and questions to help students time their answers.
  6. Stay fit:
Each candidate must take care of their physical and mental health. Practicing mindfulness by doing yoga can help relieve their stress. Any form of exercise like walking, home workouts, and eating healthy is necessary too.

Final words

Exam time is nearing, and this may be stressful for a lot of people. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to have a clear and level-headed mind to attempt the exam. Follow the above points to boost your XAT 2021 preparation.
