Trekking in Bangalore

There are different kinds of places to visit around Bangalore varying from serene beaches to magnificent hill stations. For all those adventure junkies, there is an array of trekking trails that pass via some outstanding scenic offerings of nature including mystic hills, lush green forested areas, sparkling waterfalls, etc.

  1. Kumara Parvatha Trek – Kumara Parvatha is one of the two highest mountains of the Western Ghats. While exploring Coorg, you can take up this trek. It is a difficult trek as compared to the others but the beauty of the place is worth a try. The trail passes through the lush green Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary which makes it even more exotic.   1. Kodachadri Trek – Kodachadri is one of the ten high peaks of the Western Ghats nestled conveniently in the Shimoga District. It boasts jungle trails that pass via serene landscaped views, dense forests, sparkling waterfalls and so much more. Nestled in the Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary, the topmost spot of the trek offers a spectacular view of the sun setting in the waters of the Arabian Sea.
  1. Mullayanagiri Trek – Trek to the highest Karnataka peak, Mullayanagiri is a lifetime experience to note in your adventure book. Mullayanagiri features an elevation of 6330 feet and is a part of the Baba Budangiri Hills.   1. Tadiandamol Trek – Tadiandamol features an elevation of 1746 meters and is Coorg’s highest peak. It boasts various trekking trails with breathaking views of the surroundings around. Months ranging from December to May are considered ideal for the best trekking experience when the wether is also refreshing and cool. Trekkers often camp at Nalknad Palace while trekking which is another experience worth a while.
  1. Kudremukh Trek – Kudremukh is yet another adventurous trek letting you pass via misty valleys and lush green hills. Nestled in the Western Ghats, it is one of the three highest peaks of the state. The trek begins at a base village and goes upto the peak at en elevation of 6207 feet. The trek is considered a moderately difficult one and the peak is located within a National Reserve Forest.
