With a black Ralph Lauren gown, Lively posed on the red carpet at her first ever Met Gala appearance on May 5, 2008 for the “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” theme. Her mermaid-style gown was the talk of the town. She paired the dress with silver bracelets and sleek black gloves.
In 2009, Lively wore a Versace as a presenter at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on September 20, 2009. She wore a red gown with floral details, while her hair was in a slick ponytail. She completed the look with one crystal bracelet.
When ELLE honoured Lively for her fashion sense at their 2011 Style Awards, the actress arrived on the red carpet in a blue Emilio Pucci fringed, high low gown. She finished the look with a pair of magenta peep-toe heels and delicate gold jewelry.
She went full mermaid in April of the same year with a Zuhair Murad multi-colored gown as TIME honoured her as one of the most influential people 2011, alongside Prince William and Michelle Obama.
In June 2011, Lively wore a floral Chanel gown for the premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures DC Comic’s movie “Green Lantern,”. The movie set was where she met her future husband, Ryan Reynolds. In May 2018, Lively wore one of her most iconic looks to date, a custom Versace at the Met Gala in New York City. She wore a red-and-gold gown with a long train that cascaded down the Met Gala stairs. The actress told Vogue that it took designers 600 hours to create the dress.
At a Dior fashion show in September 2018, Lively dazzled in a floral dress with sparkly details. She paired the look with a Dior monogrammed bag.
At Dior 2019 Show, Lively wore a tulle Dior dress with a sequin lattice overlay layered onto a nude corset. She completed the look with a pair of perspex and diamanté heels by Christian Louboutin.
